Few Words About Us

Our vision

A transformed society with well-functioning households as a result of transformed women.

Transform women, one at a time, through biblical discipleship and economic empowerment.

Who we are

Dorcas Creation is an indigenous Faith-based non-profit organization in Kenya operating in Marurui and Njathaini low income areas. Our aim is to transform the community starting with the woman. When we empower the woman, the woman transforms her household and eventually looks for ways of transforming her community.  We have seen this happen time and time again.

We seek out the vulnerable women.  Some are single mothers, others are unemployed, sick, abandoned and we begin working with them. Our holistic approach includes skills empowerment classes and mentoring sessions.  We also cater for their psychological, social and spiritual needs as well. Within a short time, the women will generally have gained enough confidence to launch out on their own.

Through our approach we have witnessed sustained positive results in the lives of thousands of needy women and their families over time.

Our Approach 1

At Dorcas Creation, we incorporate a multifaceted approach as we serve the community at Marurui. This includes community partnerships with different groups such as: Churches, Local Area Advisory Committee (LAAC), Community Health Volunteers (CHVs), Government offices such as the Local Chief and Sub Chief, police, volunteers, well-wishers and institutions.

The aim of Dorcas Creation is to empower unemployed, vulnerable, poor women holistically. Over the years, many women have passed through Dorcas Creation and have been transformed by God’s grace. Here are a few testimonials.

We the Team

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
